Ilia State University implements the project EMBRACing changE: Overcoming Blockages and advancing democracy in the European Neighbourhood (EMBRACE)” within the framework of Horizon Program.
The project is coordinated by Bergof Foundation Operations GMBH (Germany). Another project partners are: University of Lleida (Spain), Maastricht University (Netherlands), University of Konstanz (Germany), Stockholm University (Sweden), Ghent University (Belgium), University of Manchester (Great Britain), University of Belgrade (Serbia), Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (Greece), Ukrainian Association for European Studies (Ukraine), ARI Center for an Arab Reform Initiative (France), Concentris Research Management GMBH (Germany), PalThink for Strategic Studies (Palestine).
The project aims to study and analyze the blockages to democratization in the European neighborhood and identify ways to overcome them. The project has comparative nature and it studies hybrid and authoritarian regimes in the Eastern and Southern parts of EU neighborhood.
