ILIA STATE UNIVERSITY
ILIA STATE UNIVERSITY
The Office of Development plays a crucial role in advancing the mission of Ilia State University by facilitating the acquisition of external funding for institutional and research initiatives. It provides essential support to academic personnel and administrative staff in securing financial resources that contribute to the university’s strategic goals. Serving as a central hub for the university’s outreach and development efforts, the Office fosters collaboration with domestic and international partners to further the university’s key initiatives.
As an intermediary between donors and the university’s international grants team, the Office ensures that proposals for external funding are submitted effectively, grants and contracts are administered in compliance with donor regulations, and funding opportunities from diverse sources are thoroughly researched. Additionally, it serves as a liaison between donors and university project teams, advocating for ongoing projects and grant proposals to a broad network of well-established higher education institutions and non-academic partners worldwide. In line with the university’s institutional grants policy, the Office of Development reviews and approves all applications for external funding to ensure alignment with the university’s objectives and compliance with relevant guidelines.
The Office also oversees the university’s Lifelong Learning (LLL) initiatives, managing various international projects and supervising the LLL Department, which supports the university’s mission by providing educational opportunities to a wide range of stakeholders.
